Q459+JM6, Maharashtra State Highway 118, Karde, Maharashtra 415713
1 / 2Karde Beach is the longest and most popular stretch on the Dapoli coast, a soft golden ribbon of sand that runs for nearly four kilometres beside a calm and clean sea. Backed by casuarina groves and coconut palms, it stays surprisingly uncrowded compared to beaches closer to the highway, which is exactly why families and couples keep coming back. Mornings here belong to the dolphins, and local boatmen run short safaris that often bring you within a few metres of a passing pod. Through the day the beach turns into a gentle adventure hub with banana rides, jet skis, parasailing and ATV runs on the firm sand near the water. Karde has grown into the base for most Dapoli stays, so beach-facing resorts, seafood shacks and homestays sit within walking distance. Come between October and March when the sea is friendly and the light is golden. Pair it with neighbouring Murud and Ladghar beaches, and with the Keshavraj temple trek a short drive inland, for a full and relaxed Konkan weekend.
