Be carefull ⭐ **Review for Hemlata Homestay, Dapoli** Hi everyone, I want to share my experience at **Hemlata Homestay, Dapoli**, so others can be careful while booking. I had booked **1 night stay for 25th January** and paid **50% advance** on **24th January** to confirm our booking. The owner is an elderly lady. While we were travelling from Satara, she also requested us to bring **Kandi Pedha** for her. We reached the property around **9 AM on 25th January**, and she allowed us to use the **common toilet** to freshen up. However, due to medical reasons, my father could not use the Indian toilet. Later, one guest checked out and she allowed my father to use the **western toilet**, saying the room would be available after some time once it was cleaned. She also confirmed that the room would be given to us. We went out to visit nearby beach locations and returned around **7 PM**. To our shock, she said that **the room was not available** and we would need to **adjust in the main hall/lobby**. We were very surprised, because after paying the advance, this was totally unexpected. She explained that the previous guest wanted to extend their stay, so she could not provide us the room. Honestly, this felt highly unprofessional and unfair. After taking advance payment, such last-minute changes show that there is no proper commitment towards guests. After a short discussion, we decided to **take our advance money back** and leave. Unfortunately, we had to travel **around 90 km at night** to find another place to stay. ✅ **My suggestion:** Please be very careful before booking here. If you’re planning a stay in Dapoli, it’s better to book a reputed and well-maintained property with proper confirmation and reliable management.

We enjoyed our dapoli trip for 4days at Hemlata Homestay. Kaku was very friendly and service was very good. Taste of food was excellent 👌 😋. I will recommend to come once here.

I stayed here for two days in November 2025. It is an independent bungalow with very nice environment and a lot of trees around. Clean and sufficiently large rooms. The place is close to the main road in Dapoli. The food was excellent. The host did all efforts to make my stay comfortable. The property is not on or close to the beach. But Dapoli is a hill station in Konkan. I will surely recommend this place for a family.

I stayed here for two days. Rooms were clean and hygienic. Only veg food is available. We had it and enjoyed one time. For non veg we went to restaurant. Parking space available. Service is excellent 👌. One can visit and take experience of homestay.

Hello All Readers, Directing to Mr Pankaj, I hope you do not feel offended by my response. My intention is only to politely explain the situation from another guest’s perspective, so readers can understand the complete context. I was staying at Hemlata Homestay during the same dates. The owner, Ms. Shweta Deodar, is a very kind, humble, and accommodating person. I personally experienced her warmth and willingness to help guests. You arrived around 9:00 AM, which was quite early considering it was a long weekend (24–26 January) and the homestay was already fully occupied. Even so, Ms. Shweta allowed you to freshen up and tried to support you as much as possible. The room issue occurred because we were already occupying the room and had requested an extension due to a medical emergency, as we were not in a condition to travel. Ms. Shweta had actually requested us to shift to her alternate homestay just 5–6 KM away which has very clean, spacious, and well-maintained rooms, but at that moment, we were unable to move due to health reasons. Despite knowing that this might inconvenience the next guest and could even result in a negative review, she chose to help us during a difficult time, placing humanity above business. I believe she must have also suggested the alternate accommodation option to you, which was genuinely good. The situation was unfortunate, but it was not due to carelessness or lack of commitment—rather, it was an unexpected medical circumstance handled with compassion. I completely understand your disappointment, but I kindly request readers to consider this entire context before forming an opinion. Hemlata Homestay is a simple, honest place run by someone who genuinely cares for her guests. Thank you for understanding.

Staying at Hemlata homestay felt less like a trip and more like coming our second home. The calm surroundings, fresh air, and awsome courtyard with garden gave our family moments we will always cherish. My kids enjoyed a lot in the garden, collected various types of flowers, played cricket in the courtyard. The homestay was spotlessly clean, cozy, and perfectly suited for families, making us feel safe and relaxed throughout our stay. The rooms are very nice full of air and sunlight accompanied by a common big terrace where you can relax . What truly touched our hearts was the warmth and kindness of the host, who treated us like family rather than guests. Waking up to birds, sharing peaceful evenings together, and disconnecting from busy city life made this experience truly special. We left with beautiful memories and a deep sense of gratitude, and we already look forward to returning.
