Royal Palms

The resort staff tried to hold us hostage by closing the gate! Yes you heard me right. I recently had the misfortune of celebrating my 50th birthday at Royal Palms Resort, and it was an unmitigated disaster. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the owner was absent and had left an incompetent person in charge. The cleaning staff were being berated by guests for being offensive and disrespectful, and our simple request for an extra towel was met with a snub. But that was just the tip of the iceberg. The AC in one of the rooms wasn't working, and despite our repeated requests, they refused to call a technician or give us another room. We suffered in the sweltering heat. The promised decorator never showed up, and the staff's half-hearted attempt at setting up a canopy was laughable. We had to start our party in the dark, missing out on precious photo ops. And then, the food, it was an insult to the culinary world. Over-spiced, bitter, and inedible describe our lunch, while the breakfast dosa was burnt, and the chutney was a watery, salty disaster. And they couldn't even be bothered to serve us on time. When we raised our concerns, they showed no remorse and brushed off our complaints. By the time we checked out, we were more than ready to escape this nightmare. We requested a concession for the subpar food and services, but the owner was unyielding and indifferent. He bluntly stated that we had to pay for the 'sorry excuse for a meal' and the decoration charges. The caretaker attempted to lock us in, holding us hostage until we paid the bill, and the owner threatened to call the police when we objected. My distraught sister overpaid by Rs. 6000 in this fiasco, which he refused to return. After a lot of drama, he finally relented and transferred the money back. The management's lack of empathy and understanding was staggering. Our dream celebration turned into a living nightmare. We strongly advise against staying at this resort. It's a total disaster, and we wouldn't recommend it to our worst enemy. Avoid it at all costs.

The hotel owner is too cool and calm and guide the trip for malvan and also helping nature. Place of resort is also private and silent.Thank you Abhijit dada. We will visit once again.

Little costly in weekends. Service is good.friendly staff. Rooms are clean n view is fantastic. Have a private beach way.

If you are planning devbaug, The property is just close to beach like a private beach and accessible from hotel. Location wise great. Other amenity/ facility average. Parking available. Sea view rooms. Food like home made good. Staff also good, friendly. With family or friends good. 1 or 2 day trip ok.

Best for family vacation. Clean and comfortable rooms right beside sea. Clean and spacious attached washrooms. Very safe environment for kids to play. Went there with two toddlers. They took good care for their comfort and food needs. To top the list Food was great and homely.. Thank you for lovely stay Royal palms...

The beach front resort location is fabulous. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is very polite and helpful which ensures a comfertable stay. Food at Royal Palms is very tasty and authentic malvani taste. Please try amazing Surmai. It was fresh and mouth watering. This resort gives amazing and relaxing vacation.
