Nivti's Hornbill Nest

We had a truly memorable experience at Nivti’s Hornbill Nest. We booked the mud house, and the entire property is surrounded by the beach, which feels like a private beach with very few crowds. The rooms were cozy, and the hygiene was top-notch. The food was absolutely the best part of our stay.... delicious, homely meals cooked by ladies from the nearby local village, which made the experience even more special. Overall, the entire experience was amazing, and we are definitely going to visit again. If you’re looking for a calm, cozy getaway away from noisy and crowded locations, this place is a must-try.

Hornbill Nest is truly a hidden gem. Surrounded by natural beauty, it’s the perfect place to disconnect from routine and reconnect with nature at its finest. The setting itself is calming and refreshing. The staff are exceptionally kind and always ready to help. The service is outstanding—not only do they assist with food and daily needs, but they also help arrange transportation if required. The food deserves a special mention; it was absolutely delicious and one of the highlights of our stay. Our recent visit turned out to be an incredible and memorable journey. One small suggestion for travelers: if you plan to explore the beauty of Kudal in depth, it’s best to bring your own vehicle. However, even if you don’t, the staff are very supportive and will help you arrange transportation. Overall, this is an amazing place to visit. The mud house is extremely cozy, and the bathroom was surprisingly one of the best parts of the stay. Kayaking is also available free of cost, which adds to the experience. Highly recommended do visit if you’re looking for a peaceful and nature-filled getaway.

Our experience started on a challenging note. Despite having a confirmed booking, we faced difficulty in getting the allotted property due to multiple details not being updated by the current management. As the property is located in a very remote area, we tried reaching the contact number mentioned on the listing, but our calls went unanswered throughout. Upon reaching the location and speaking with the kitchen staff available there, we were eventually connected to the owner, who informed us that no rooms were available at that time despite our confirmation. We were later told that the number provided was a personal contact, which explained the lack of response. After considerable back-and-forth, we were finally accommodated in a different room, which thankfully turned out to be better than the tent shown in the pictures. That said, the location is nothing short of paradise. The secluded, easily accessible beach with almost no crowd and a night sky filled with stars made the experience truly surreal and memorable. Cleanliness, however, was a letdown and is an area that needs noticeable improvement to truly do justice to the natural beauty of the property. Food is served only by the property, as there are no nearby restaurants. While dinner was good, breakfast and morning tea were below average. Additionally, food is charged separately, so it’s advisable to clarify these details before booking and plan accordingly, as guests are entirely dependent on the property for meals. Please also note that there is no mobile network, and Wi-Fi connectivity is very limited, which may be a concern for some travelers. Overall, despite the initial difficulties and areas that need improvement, we genuinely loved the serenity and uniqueness of this place. With better coordination, cleanliness, and service consistency, this property has immense potential, and we would certainly consider visiting again once these aspects are addressed.

Had the best time at Hornbill this New Year with my friends! The place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, the perfect escape from city chaos. From the serene beach vibes to the calm surroundings, it truly lets you experience everything that Konkan has to offer. Loved every moment of our stay and made some amazing memories. Would highly recommend everyone to visit if you’re looking for peace, nature, and a refreshing getaway. ❤️

Had a wonderful stay at Hornbill Nest. The place is calm, peaceful, and surrounded by nature—perfect to disconnect, relax, and unwind. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hospitality was truly excellent. A special mention to Nikhil and his team, who were extremely helpful and caring throughout our stay. Since the property is remotely located, it’s advisable to carry essential resources and personal medicines, as things are not easily available nearby. We faced a medical emergency during our stay, and the staff went out of their way to help us by preparing a home-cooked kadha using fresh herbal ingredients, which brought great relief and showed genuine care. The home-cooked food deserves a special mention—it was absolutely delicious and made us feel completely at home. Overall, it’s a perfect getaway for family and friends and an ideal place to disconnect from the chaos of daily life. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely amazing time here. It’s unbelievable that a place like this exists in Konkan. It truly felt like we were in Bali. The property has its own private beach which makes it very comfortable to relax and enjoy quality time with your loved ones. We had booked their mud house, which added an extra spark to our stay. The best part about the mud house is that it has been personally built by the owner, Mr. Nikhil Sonawane along with his team. Not only was it beautifully constructed but they also ensured that cleanliness and hygiene were maintained at the highest level. In fact, Nikhil and his entire team were personally involved in building the whole property which makes the place even more special and gives it a very homely feeling. Another highlight of this property is the food. You may stay at the best property but if the food isn’t good the entire experience can fall flat. At Hornbill Nest, however you get delicious food along with a luxurious stay all in an environment that’s very close to nature. The staff here are extremely helpful and welcoming.
