Good
Rooms are good but cleanliness can be improved. Service is not upto the mark as food is not available for the whole day and gets prepared only for breakfast lunch and dinner and that too on preorder. Hospitality is invisible and people are just to make the work done anyhow as assigned. Rooms cost especially the cottages are too high, should be reconsidered and priced appropriately. Checkout time is 9am which is unacceptable. Atleast it should be at 10am or 11am is perfect
We booked the non sea view bamboo cottage. The rooms were okay. Could be better as in terms of maintenance. There was a restaurant closeby. It was a boon as well as a bane. They had limited food option. Little difficult if there are children with you. They don't accomodate anything outside the menu. But food that they provided was of great quality. Tasted good. Specially the fish. Also the service was good. Location was top notch!! The beach seemed like a private property.
my experience at MTDC Ganpatipule was very nice. The premier sea-view suites are excellent and truly worth staying in. The hotel is located right on the beach, and MTDC guests almost get a private beach experience. One of the best parts is that you can directly walk to the Ganpatipule Temple via the seashore. There are many water sports activities available nearby, which makes the stay more enjoyable. Good vegetarian food is easily available at restaurants like Bhau Joshi and Durvankur. The MTDC hotel restaurant is a bit expensive, but there are many decent and affordable food options just outside the hotel. The view from the hotel is beautiful, and the sunset view from the property itself is especially amazing. I strongly recommend staying here for more than one day. Overall, I rate this hotel very good and would definitely prefer it over Harihareshwar.
This resort wins due to its prime location. It's barely 5mins from the temple and also provides access to a private beach. So overall it's a win win if you are looking for a laid back holiday. It is set right in the lap of nature. It's an old property and the rooms reflect that, but that isn't a major setback. You get direct sea view from the room itself. It's a big property and provides car parking near the rooms itself. Very well suited for families. They have 2 restaurants, the food is good and quantity is quite a lot for the price. Room service and staff is very helpful and friendly. Book well in advance as it is mostly packed during weekends and holidays.
My stay at MTDC ganpatipule was awesome. We had booked a sea panorama villa which was beautiful with an amazing view. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The sea view from our room inside was breathtakingly beautiful. The staff was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the meals and all the food served to us was delicious. In all a wonderful memorable experience.
Everything about the stay was perfect. The location was absolutely stunning and I recommend taking a room with the sea view. The food from both the restaurants were great but my personal favourite was Tavish restaurant as you can enjoy the beach view whilst your meals. The service was extremely genuine and prompt. The staff were friendly and always kind. The property is huge and the staff is trying to keep it well maintained. I highly recommend visiting this place for a peaceful getaway.
Rooms pics missed this time due to limited time. Nice beach facing property with clean rooms. Food option's in canteen are decent, service needs to improve a lot there. Ganapati mandir is at walkable distance and many eating (local) options available near bye. Reasonably charged stays by mtdc with exotic sea view, definitely worth the stay if one is in ratnagiri. Though in peak season needs advance booking 👍. Staff is mixed bag, some very helpful sone mind their own business 😁
The 4 stars are for the location. It's right on the beach and extremely affordable for such a location. The good ends there; almost the entire place is not maintained, especially the older rooms. They are expanding heavily with bamboo huts, which are better when newer. The restaurant is okay, but nothing great for the location; they could have unbelievably good seafood, but it is less than mediocre. The lack of a bar or permit room in this location is a disgrace to the property. The temple nearby might be the reason, but the property is huge, over a kilometer or a kilometer and a half long. They can easily have another entrance and obtain a license. The beach in front is clean near the water but has a lot of dirt in the bushes nearer to the property. The property itself needs describing and cleaning up. Staff are all untrained and unprofessional but very friendly and helpful. I did not mind most of the staff. If well managed, this could be a great property. I would book again just for the location.
