We were a group of nine members stayed for 3 days and 3 nights. Mr Parag lead us on all 6 sessions. We had great sightings. Mr Parag helped us in composition and camera settings as well. Mr Parag helped us in ticking off all the species of frogs, snakes and crabs from the checklist we had come prepared. The rooms were neat ,spacious and tidy. All the meals were good. The highlights of the trip was the sighting of the Green vine snake preying on the Amboli bushfrog and the Purple tree frog devouring on the male glow worm.
"Mrugaya Nature Retreat" in Amboli is a peaceful eco-tourism spot nestled in nature. It offers a rustic vibe, perfect for those seeking tranquility and a break from city life. With bird calls, rain sounds, and misty views, it's ideal for relaxation and self-discovery. A true hidden gem for nature lovers! Really i love it
We’ve been coming here with our children every monsoon for the last 6 years and what we like the most is the fact that it’s small and personal, the staff are obliging, the food is home cooked and there is so much space around for the children to explore.
Very quiet and clean place in Amboli. The hosts are good and friendly. Breakfast served was tasty. They also offer a night trail in the nature which is worth a visit.
Nestled in the forests of Amboli, Mrugaya is a great place for naturalists and people looking for some peace and connecting with nature. The rooms are basic but clean and well kept. The feel is rustic, cozy and lovable with a nice sitout outside the room for socializing. The food is arranged on demand from nearby places. (Breakfast was included for us). They provide naturalists and guides for nature and herping walks. Manjeet and Omkar were very knowledgeable.
Nice home made food. Clean rooms but room sizes are little small. Their night trail is good experience
