Highland Sarovar Portico

In India, this was the costliest resort we stayed at by far and writing this review so that we can save other people’s money if they are thinking of staying here. 1) because of monsoons, the resort balconies as well as restaurant were covered in plastic and the view of ocean was very limited. Plus the plastic made it look ugly. If there was going to be impact on views etc, they should have charged off season amount. 2) we were only guests when we checked in so we asked for an upgrade as the rooms allocated to us did not have the view promised in the website photos, which they agreed to. Now below points are regarding the upgraded room and how it brought more disappointment. 3) there was no privacy at all to the room. Just in front of balcony, there were 7-8 workers doing some work. As we tried sitting in the balcony, there were many people looking 4) next to the room, there was toilet for the hotel staff and it was stinking badly plus some of those staff members were also ogling in our balcony. 5) since the time we checked in, will the time we checked out, there were around 10-15 calls from reception/cafe etc for various reasons and they didn’t care about the disturbance they were causing. Finally we had to put DND In the night so that none disturbs our sleep. The reasons for calling were really stupid like for example, cafe called at 7:45am to remind about breakfast and reception called at 8:30 to ask when we are going to check out. We were on a holiday and not on army drill to have so much follow ups for each and everything. 6) the resort is not that spacious and the reception is also not so grand to give justice to the price point they are targeting. We found more value in some Airbnbs before this stay and in even lesser cost than this hotel we were able to stay at a royal heritage palace after this. 7) food was Okayish and nothing fancy. Rooms also were Okayish for the cost. The geyser also wasn’t working well. Felt like it was very small. The hotel overall didn’t have a theme and didn’t serve anything up to the mark. Very disappointing stay and we got a feeling that the money was literally wasted here

Highland Sarovar Portico can aptly be called the emerald eye of Konkan and it has all the potential to become the crown jewel of Sindhudurg tourism. It is perfectly nestled within a forested coastal cliff which has been carefully crafted into a quaint getaway without tampering the raw natural beauty of the place. The team of staff members put up constant effort to provide their guests luxury and comfort in such a remote place which demands wholehearted applause. The restaurant catered to all the tantrums of my children with a smile. The rooms are equipped with all amenities of modern comfort and a breathtaking view. I wish Mr Naqvi and his team all the success in their constant effort to excel.

Had a wonderful experience staying here with friends. The hotel is well located near Tarkarli Beach, and we also explored Nivati Beach and Bhogave Beach easily. Being in Malvan,the whole Konkan charm just adds to the experience. Comfortable stay overall.

We booked a stay at Highland Sarovar Portico Sindhudurg for our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids, aged 11 and 4). Before booking, we called the resort to confirm the sleeping arrangements and were told that an extra bed would cost ₹2,500. However, the MMT listing clearly mentioned that one extra bed or mattress would be provided at no additional cost. When we checked in, we were surprised to be charged ₹3,500 instead. There was clearly no consistent or correct information shared, which was quite disappointing. There was a complete lack of correct information shared between MMT and the property. The room doesn’t offer good value for the price. The resort was very quiet during our stay — we were the only guests. Additionally, mobile network connectivity near the resort was very poor, making it difficult to contact anyone. The approach road to the resort is untarred and gives the impression of a dead end, which was quite unsettling. The food was average with limited options, and we also faced issues with the hot water supply. On the positive side, the sea view from the room was beautiful, and the room itself was clean and well-maintained.

I had such a great stay at Sarovar Portico! From the moment I walked in, everything felt welcoming and well taken care of. The rooms were really clean, spacious and super comfortable, it felt like a home away from home. The staff was amazing, always friendly and ready to help with anything I needed, which made the whole experience even better. The food at the hotel was really good too, with a nice variety to choose from. I also loved how convenient the location was everything I wanted to do or see was easily accessible. Overall, everything about my stay was just perfect and I would definitely recommend Sarovar Portico to anyone looking for a comfortable, hassle-free and enjoyable stay!

Malvan has serene beaches with great water activities, what it was missing was a premier resort... until Highland Sarovar Portico arrived. This hotel is an epitome of great hospitality and luxury. We stayed in a wooden cottage, that has great views of the Nivti beach and sea. But what stood out was the service and hospitality, the likes of which I've experienced only in ITC or Taj. It speaks a lot about the manager, Faizan who drives the customer centric attitude not just for himself, but for his entire crew. The food was excellent with tailored menus, and the staff was welcoming through out the stay. The hotel went beyond and above in fulfilling our requirements. The pool and the views atop were great. The only cons that I can think of are the room size and the last bit of approach road. I noticed that the hotel is expanding with more room options and amenities, which is great! Highly recommend the hotel and Sindhudurg!!

From the moment we arrived, my family and I were welcomed with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality. The staff is extremely courteous, attentive, and always smiling, making us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. The food was delicious, with great variety and taste that catered perfectly to our family. The breathtaking views added a magical touch and made every moment serene and refreshing. The best thing about this resort is its location it is right next to the ocean on a cliffs.The property is huge, surrounded by greenery, and very peaceful. The staff was extremely good and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. A special thanks to Mr. Bhalerao, the front desk manager, who warmly welcomed us with his team and ensured that we were well taken care of.
